Each year Central Ohio AGC funds scholarships through the AGC of Ohio Education Foundation for students pursuing a degree in a construction-related field.  In October 2002, Central Ohio AGC Board of Trustees renamed one of its scholarships in honor of J.D. Flaherty, Jr. for founding the scholarship program and securing the initial funding. In 2024 a second scholarship was named after long-time Executive Vice President, Rich Hobbs and awards $2,000 to a student.

​General Scholarship Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• Minimum 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale)
• Undergraduate in 2nd year of a 2, 4, or 5-year construction-related degree program
