Education & Training Stipend Program

The Central Ohio AGC Education & Training Stipend Program helps member companies invest in the professional development of their employees by offsetting the cost of eligible AGC of America training programs. 

Eligible contractor and associate member companies may receive up to $2,000 per calendar year to cover course registration, required materials, and limited travel expenses for qualifying educational programs, including Lean Construction, BIM training, safety management, supervisory training, and AGC Edge courses. Stipends are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and reimbursed upon successful completion of the program.

Construction Systems Management at The Ohio State University

Construction systems management is the management and operation of the business and technological aspects of the construction industry. Students in the CSM major focus on developing managerial skills to prepare for careers in coordinating and directing activities in a range of industry sectors, including residential, commercial and heavy construction. This major program is accredited by American Council for Construction Education.

The Industry Advisory Council (IAC) was established to advise the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering (FABE) at The Ohio State University on direction and support for research and issues related to the commercial and residential construction industry. The IAC is comprised of industry peers who share a desire and commitment to help build the OSU CSM Program into one of the top programs in the country for the benefit of the CSM students and the construction industry. Parker Brown, Workforce Development Director at Central Ohio AGC, serves on the board of directors.
